James Brindley School delivers its education across 11 sites including school teaching centres and hospitals throughout Birmingham.
Within the hospital and specialist settings we teach all pupils able to access education from age 2 to 19.
We have teaching centres exclusively for key stage 3 and 4 and an ASC centre for both primary and secondary age pupils.
Pupils in hospital will enjoy a varied menu of activities aimed at supporting their emotional wellbeing as well as engaging with their families. Our personalised approach responds to the pupils’ individual needs. Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural development underpin the curriculum and extended learning opportunities..
Within the spirit of ‘every child matters, every moment counts’ the school offers opportunities for ‘out of hours learning’ for pupils. Our dual registered pupils will also have access to their home school provision as well as the opportunities in James Brindley.
James Brindley is one of the world’s largest providers of specialist education and therefore we are constantly learning, developing and contributing to improvements within the special education sector.
We provide education for children aged between 2 and 19 years who have a medical need. Most of the pupils are from Birmingham but some undergoing specialist treatment come from further afield.
We provide a ‘bridge for learning’ during difficult times as we believe
