Congratulations, you have taken the first step towards becoming a school governor at James Brindley School.
Our pupils are very special and it takes really special people to help them realise their full potential. As a Governor you will bring your expertise either as a parent, business professional or educational leader acting as a critical friend to the Senior Management Team, helping to develop strategies, financial management and trail blazing education.
Governors meet six times every year, and we encourage them to join a sub-committee who will also meet five times every year. Meetings take place at our Main Base in Bell Barn Road, Birmingham and are on weekdays between 5.00pm and 7.00pm. Please read through our Brochure and Governor Information Pack to find out more about us and what being a Governor involves.
If you’re interested we would love to hear from you, please complete our application form and we will be in touch.

Our School History
James Brindley School Administration Centre Birmingham
We teach across 11 sites including teaching centres and hospitals in Birmingham. We also provide support for children finding it difficult to access education outside of the home, due to both physical or mental health related reasons. We find children and young people respond best when they feel comfortable in their surroundings, which is why staff work hard to ensure that every pupil in our care receives the best possible education in a safe, stimulating and supportive environment.
